    Effects of Product Development on Operating Performance in Textile Industry

    [[abstract]]The leading status of textile industry in Taiwan has fallen behind electronic industry since 2004 and is regarded as the sunset industry. Nevertheless, the production of at least 450 billion NT dollars per year has raised 0.16 million employees. The absorption of employed population presents great contribution to the stability and development of the employment market in Taiwan. This study tends to explore the effects of Product Development on Operating Performance in textile industry with quantitative questionnaire survey. Total 450 copies of questionnaires were distributed to the supervisors, employees, and customers of Tainan Spinning and 384 copies were retrieved, in which 347 copies were valid, with the retrieval rate 77%. The research results show more successful product development could better enhance operating performance in textile industry. Apparently, electronic marketing has largely changed consumers’ purchase behaviors. Especially, consumers do not need to shop on streets, but relaxingly purchase desired goods through the Internet. Online shopping therefore has become the trend for modern people.     Relational Benefits, Customer Satisfaction, And Customer Loyalty In Chain Store Restaurants

    [[abstract]]This study aims to investigate the structural relationships among relational benefits, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty in the chain store restaurants. Based on a theoretical background literature review, three types of customer relational benefits were determined: psychological, social, and special treatment benefits. Theoretical relationships among relational benefits, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty were derived from the review of literature, and a theoretical model was proposed. The proposed model was then tested employing data collected from 267 customers of chain store restaurants. The results of subsequent analysis of the data indicated that relational benefits influence customer loyalty, and customer satisfaction with employees influence customer loyalty. In addition, the impact of which is partially mediated by satisfaction with employees.     Application analysis on different suture of scleral flap in trabeculectomy

    AIM: To research the application of scleral flap suture in trabeculectomy. <p>METHODS: Totally 114 primary angle-closure glaucoma patients, aged from 36-72 years old, were selected as the objects, and randomly divided into research group and control group. The two groups received different administration methods. Traditional sewing method of sclera flap was used in research group and improved sewing method of sclera flap was used in control group. <p>RESULTS: There was statistical differences between postoperative intraocular pressure of the patients in the observation group and the control group after 1d; 2wk; 1, 3mo(<i>P</i><0.05). There was no statistical difference in intraocular pressure between the two groups. There was statistical differences between incidence of shallow anterior chamber of the patients in the observation group and the control group postoperatively early stage(<i>P</i><0.05). After 6mo, the filtering bleb formation in observation group was no significantly better than control group(<i>P</i>>0.05).<p>CONCLUSION: It is safe and effective that the improved sewing method of sclera flap for trabeculectomy of acute angle-closure glaucoma, and it is a better method to avoid the occurrence of shallow anterior chamber than the traditional sewing method in the early stage after operation
